The 2013 Toronto Science Festival is a weekend-long celebration of science, Sept. 27 – 29, that explores the theme of Life in the Universe through keynote talks, panels, film screenings, live dance and music performances, a Cafe Scientifique Brunch-with-a-Scientist, microscope and telescope observing sessions, and more. Guests incl. Cdn astronaut Julie Payette, Mars Rover scientist Jim Bell, evolutionary biologist Sean Carroll, SETI pioneer Jill Tarter and many more. Plus, TSF will be sending a message submitted by the public into space in an attempt to communicate with extraterrestrial beings. The festival is organized by the University of Toronto.
