Cabildo, created by Falciony Patiño in the spring 2012, is a group that explores how to use the contemporary techniques of dance to enhance the Colombian folklore.
Since Patiño arrived to Canada, he started to get to know the Latin community and mainly the youth, and he thought they were missing that identity and love for their roots, so typical of Colombian culture. That is why he decided to start up an idea he had since he was in Colombia, called Cabildo.
Putting together his knowledge and experience acquired in Canada, we brought together professional and amateur dancers with whom he shares ideas to offer the audience a good quality product.
