Join InnerSpace hosts Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman and Teddy Wilson as they are joined by Orphan Black stars Tatiana Maslany and Jordan Gavaris, 4pm Saturday only in Room 718B. The Doctor Who Society of Canada presents a forum about methods of making props and costumes for one of the fastest growing hobbies in Fandom. How to best use everyday items and location of templates for construction. However don’t be surprised if you see a Dalek in the room. Friday only @ 8pm in Room 717.

DOCTOR WHO SOCIETY PRESENTS: WORKSHOP OF THE DALEKS

Experts Mark Townsend and Rob Green return with a session that will dive deep into creating your very own Dalek. This is a more technical forum on methods, materials and electronics required to build your very own working Daleks. At the end of this forum you should have enough knowledge to build your very own, working, Master of the Universe. Sunday only @ 1pm in Room 717.

DOCTOR WHO SOCIETY PRESENTS: LIFE INSIDE A DALEK & OTHER HORROR STORIES

Experts Mark Townsend and Rob Green discuss the basics of how to build a Dalek! Learn where to source the blueprints and materials locally, as well as some of the basic construction options. The panel will also cover basic operation of the Daleks and some of the many adventures of the presenters, many of them humorous. Saturday only @ Noon in Room 717.

STAR WARS COSTUMES AND PROPS BY THE 501ST STORMTROOPER LEGION

Making molds for masks, props, and gadgets and dioramas from your house. The expert members of the 501st Legion share their experience and secrets on making the best costumes in the world. Friday only @ 6pm in Room 717.

STEAMPUNK GADGETS AND GIZMOS

Fantastic gadgets and weapons play an important part of many a Steampunk costume… Steampunk is after all a form of Science Fiction, and gadgetry of all sizes help add the “Science” to that equation. Our panel of expert propbuilders have years of experience and will share techniques and tips. We want to take the slant away from just painting nerf guns and show other things that can be done. STEAMPUNK COSTUMES AND PHOTOGRAPHY PANEL

What began as a literary sub-genre has become a full-fledged flavour of cosplay full of Explorers and Adventurers, Airship Pirates and Evil Scientists, Inventors and Thieves. Take a little Victorian inspiration, add a dash of the fantastic and good pair of goggles, and the possibilities are endless! Hear from the experts of the Toronto Steampunk Society. Have you ever been asked to partake in a Tiffin, only to discover it was a duel? Learn how to properly partake in a round of tea dueling! Tea dueling is the art of gracefully dunking a biscuit into a “Cup of Brown Joy.” You may even be challenged to a duel! Sunday only @ 4pm in Room 716A

Never judge a book by it’s cover. Example: 50 Shades of Grey is not a book about colours! Find out what it takes to draw a comic book cover with from the professionals, some of the experienced illustrators in the industry. COSPLAY PANEL – MAKING SPANDEX MANAGEABLE

One of the hardest parts of making most super hero costumes is working with spandex. Join cosplayer Lee Scion for this panel where she will go through the process of working with spandex and other stretch materials, covering the entire procedure from cutting to sewing, no matter what type of sewing machine you have at your disposal! COSPLAY SUPPLIES PANEL

This panel by Lee Scion will focus on two things: Helping you decide the best materials for you and your costume, and aiding you in find finding them and all the tools you’ll need. Feel free to bring pictures of your costumes to get advice customized just for you! Saturday only @ 2pm in Room 717.

COSPLAY MODELING & PHOTOGRAPHY PANEL

Cosplay photography can be tricky, but this panel is designed to help you get the best photos you can! Lee Scion will go through tips and tricks on posing for cosplay photography ranging from how to get the most from hall photos to suggested prep for photo shoots. Sunday only @ 3pm in Room 717

ANIME WORKSHOP – BUILD YOUR OWN PLUSHIE!
