Ehang 184 AAV is the safest,Smartest and Eco-Friendly low altitude autonomous aerial vehicle, aiming on providing Medium-Short Distance communication and transportation solution.

The 184 AAV is designed with full redundancy – If one set of the power system are operating abnormal, the vehicle can still operate a normal flight plan and ensure the safety of the passenger together with the vehicle. The 184 was designed to be a 100% with green technology, and is powered by electricity only.

The 184 AAV has embedded with Ehang fail safe system. If any components malfunction or disconnect, the aircraft will immediately land in the nearest possible area to ensure safety. The communication is encrypted and each AAV has its independent key.

Founded in 2014 in Guangzhou, China, EHANG is an intelligent aerial vehicles technology & service company.

Driven by its continuous technology and product innovation, “smart + connected” creative thinking, and the service philosophy of “User experiences first and foremost”, EHANG is providing both consumer-level and commercial-end customers with simple, smart, safe and high-efficient aerial products and solutions, including EHANG184 Autonomous Aerial Vehicle, UAV Command & Control Center, EHANG Egret Autonomous Formation Flight, EHANG Falcon commercial drones and GHOSTDRONE consumer drones.

Fully and firmly dedicated to realizing the mission of “Let Humankind Fly Freely Like a Bird”, EHANG has become a pioneer and leading advocate of the global civilian drone industry in practicing multiple innovative ideas including smart software-based control, integrated experience of smartphone-tilting remote control and VR goggles, fully-automated drone swarm formation flight, autonomous self-driving passenger drones and 3D aerial transport, etc., and has thus been awarded as one of “the Most Innovative Companies 2016” by Fast Company.

Designed to be redundant, as most VTOL vehicles are these days, the Ehang 184 is electric. The company tells us that should any malfunction happen to the 8 propellers, the aircraft has Ehang’s fail-safe system to rely on. In other words, the aircraft will immediately land to safety as soon as it finds a good spot to do so.

EHANG 184 flies to send presents to children

The Ehang 184 AAV tells us that it “flies in an inverted U shape.” We gather that means it goes up, then levels its flight, and finally lands by going down — and we’re happy to see that this VTOL drone does exactly that.
