Summer Blockbuster Movies Hit the Big Screen and Independent Film Festivals

The term “summer blockbuster” entered the movie goers consciousness in the late 1970s. Today anticipation of what the next summer blockbuster is going to be is a staple of American culture.  But it is not just every major motion picture studio releasing what they hope will turn a monstrous summer profit.  Independent film makers are making their own summer blockbusters including Sharon Doyle of The Love Records with her independent film debut “TESLA” about the remarkable life of Nikola Tesla.

Few know the work of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors and scientists to ever live.  His contributions include AC Electricity, Induction Motor, Radio, Remote Control, x-ray, Turbines, in all totaling nearly 770 inventions to his credit. “TESLA” is a film that will enlighten, inspire, and educate audiences this summer becoming one of the must see independent films of 2014.

The first screening of “TESLA” will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday August 2, 2014 at the Stephen J Buck Memorial Theater, New Hope PA as part of the New Hope Film Festival.  New Hope Film Festival will be host to filmmakers from 16 different countries debuting their films at this year’s annual event.
