About Love Art Fair

Love Art Fair’s formula is simple yet unique: a relaxed, inspiring environment and high quality contemporary
art. The fair offers an upbeat and friendly atmosphere in which anyone – from first time buyers to seasoned
collectors – can find thousands of original paintings, prints, sculptures and photographs all under one roof,
ranging from $100–$10,000, with more than half priced under $5,000.

History
In 1999, when Will Ramsay founded Affordable Art Fair in London, he transformed the model of the traditional
art fair with his fun and friendly approach. By introducing a price ceiling and the mandatory labeling of artwork,
customers were able to see exactly what they could afford. His aim was to make contemporary art accessible
to everyone, and to show you don’t need to be an art expert or a millionaire to enjoy and buy art.
The great response from the fair encouraged Ramsay to explore other markets and the Affordable Art Fair has
since become something of a global phenomenon with fairs taking place in 12 locations worldwide.

Locations
Love Art Fair will launch in Toronto on May 7–11, 2014, as the first showcase in Canada. In addition to London,
it’s sister fairs are held annually in New York, Mexico City, Hong Kong, Singapore, Amsterdam, Maastricht,
Brussels, Hamburg, Milan and Stockholm.

contemporary art feel fun, affordable and approachable. In 1996, founder Will Ramsay opened Will’s Art Warehouse in
southwest London to bridge the increasing interest in contemporary art and the London gallery scene. By concentrating
on relatively unknown artists not carrying a premium for reputation, the gallery was able to offer works from £50 – £2,500
from a stable of over 150 artists, and the response Will received to his Art Warehouse inspired him to take his approach to
the next level. Three years later in 1999, Will launched the first-ever Affordable Art Fair, embracing other friendly galleries
selling affordable art.
